How do we help students prepare for boarding school life?

We understand that moving to a new school, especially a UK boarding school, can feel like a substantial change. Our team provides one-to-one guidance to help you adjust, build confidence, and make the most of your unfamiliar environment.

We draw on first-hand experience of running boarding houses and working within leading British schools. This means we can prepare you for the realities of boarding school life – from developing independence and managing routines to understanding how mobile phones, personal wellbeing, and extracurricular activities fit into daily school life.

Every student receives advice focused on both personal growth and academic success, helping you settle quickly and thrive in your new community.

What does our UK boarding school consultancy include?

Our UK boarding school consultancy offers full, personalised support for students and families throughout the admissions journey at all entry age points for prep schools and senior schools as well as nursery and pre-prep for day students whose families are relocating to the UK or elsewhere. EJC Education is experienced in supporting students with a wide variety of talents and abilities.

We begin by assessing your academic background, interests, and goals. From here, we match you with schools that align with your abilities, personality, and aspirations. You receive honest, expert insight into each school’s ethos, expectations, and admissions process.

We also help with:

  • Private boarding school admissions applications
  • Entrance exam preparation in the UK

Through careful research and planning, we make sure every student feels confident and ready to begin their next chapter. This is particularly essential for students of 13-14 years who wish to apply to an in-demand college in the US, academically rigorous UK course such as Economics for Oxbridge entry or for the London School of Economics as well as Medicine, Veterinary Science, STEM courses in Hong Kong and Chinese Universities.

How can we support international students who wish to study in UK boarding schools or those beyond their country of origin?

Many families we work with live outside the UK. Our process is designed to make this simple and reassuring. We provide full boarding school guidance for students wherever you are based, using a mix of online meetings, assessments, and in-person visits when possible.

When you visit the UK, we meet you and your parents to discuss progress, visit schools together, and prepare for interviews. We can also accompany families visiting schools in other countries if needed.

Our aim is to make every international student feel supported, confident, and ready to adapt to British education for students from diverse cultures.

This close collaboration helps ensure that every family makes confident, informed decisions based on their child’s needs and ambitions.
